Just back from our 7th year as a vendor at The Finger Lakes Fiber Festival in Hemlock NY and what a great weekend it was!

True it rained on Saturday, but that did not dampen the joy of the sights, sounds and feel of the first fiber festival of the fall complete with amazingly beautiful yarns and roving, spinning wheels, handcrafted treasures, humming llamas, happy little alpaca with their chic little hair styles, mud, the adorable cashgora goats with their simultaneous angelic-devilish look, leaves just turning on the trees, horse drawn wagons, did I mention mud(?), pretzel – sausage – kettle corn – baked potato soup – apple pie deliciousness, cool breezes, The Yarn Harlot herself, Dizzy, Fred, Bags of Knit, new faces and old friends.

It truly is fall now and we are so excited to be in the thick of another fabulous knitting year as The Village Yarn & Fiber Shop! Thank you to the Genesee Valley Handspinners Guild for this year’s wonderful festival and to all of our customers for supporting us all year long.

Happy Knitting!
