The Longest Day Fundraising Raffle Week and All Day Crafting Challenge

Raffle Week: Monday, June 17th through Saturday, June 22nd
All Day Crafting Challenge: Saturday, June 22nd 10am - 4pm in the Shop and 4pm - Sundown at the Gazebo in Edmund Lyons Park* in East Rochester

Our annual Longest Day fundraising event for the Alzheimer's Association is this coming week! Stop into the shop Monday, June 17th through Saturday, June 22nd during shop hours to purchase raffle tickets for the items we are raffling off to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association this year.  Then join us on Saturday, June 22nd for an entire day of crafting as we gather to recognize the all day long, every day challenge of those now facing Alzheimer's, their caregivers, and to remember those we have lost.

All are welcome to come and spend the day knitting, crocheting, spinning or stitching in the shop for someone you may or may not know with Alzheimer's, or a caregiver, or in memory of someone.

At 4pm we will close the shop and move to the Gazebo in Edmund Lyons Park* in East Rochester where we will:

  • continue our crafting in the park,
  • enjoy a simple picnic (please bring a lawn chair and a dish to pass if you can),
  • draw winning names for all of the items we are raffling,
  • and then conclude the day at sunset with a ceremony of recognition of the challenges faced by all who have been touched by Alzheimer's, remembrance, and hope for the future

Thank you to everyone for participating.  And a special thank you to all who donated items to be raffled. Your generosity is both inspiring and humbling.

If you are interested in donating an item to be raffled, there is still time. Raffle tickets can be purchased up until 4pm on Saturday, June 22nd. All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will go to the Alzheimer's Association.

Hope to see you Saturday June 22nd!

*Note: in the event of rain, we will remain at the shop until sundown and for the conclusion of our event.
